I hope that you had a lovely Christmas/Yule and are looking forward to what 2026 brings. For me, 2025 was quite busy, with a lot of new tarot clients, plus all the work involved in getting ready for the festive season in December. I also run a choir, so we had the Christma show on 12th December, followed by my Winter Solstice party a couple of weeks later (I've been hosting a Winter Solstice party now for about 26 years and I really love it). Each year, I make a Yule log (it's chocolate though, not wood!) and it's traditional to say something around it before turning all the lights out to acknowledge that it's the longest night of the year, but also of course the beginning of the days getting longer. The Oak King overcomes the Holly King at the Winter Solstice, heralding the wheel of the year turning.
I always find it interesting listening to what my guests have to say as I've found over the years that you always learn something (much as is the case with tarot readings). Having a window into other people's lives is always illluminating....as is my Christmas tree!
