I just wanted to mention https://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/store.shtml this site. They're offering tarot courses such as:
"21 days to intuitive tarot meanings"
"tarot for beginners - start reading your tarot cards in just thirty minutes"
and so on - you get the drift...... It's also of course absolute nonsense! All of my current and past students will, I have absolutely no doubt, agree with me. It's rather worrying really as the tarot isn't a sideshow. It takes a huge amount of commitment and time (a lot of time - years in fact), to be really fluent at reading the tarot which contains some valuable and inspiring life lessons.
I also worry, as I've probably mentioned before, at the group of people who talk about just reading the tarot intuitively which equates to not knowing the meanings of the cards themselves. Obviously, it's great to be able to use one's intuition whilst reading the cards but there's a difference from this being in addition to being fluent in the card meanings themselves and using intution as an added extra rather than just using intuition alone. It's fine to just read for someone intuitively but that's not being a tarot reader, it's being a psychic reader etc. Oh dear, this has been a bit of a rant, for which I apologise!!
I think this article raises a really important point. Unfortunately, there are too many people who make unrealistic promises or claim to have special powers just to attract vulnerable clients. It's always worth checking reviews, looking for transparency, and trusting your own judgment before paying for any spiritual service. I've also found that comparing different sources helps put things into perspective. For example, I came across thorfortune while researching tarot-related resources, and it offers a more balanced approach by encouraging people to stay skeptical of exaggerated claims rather than believing everything at face value. In a field built on personal trust, honesty and realistic expectations should always come first.
